□ Name: Tavros Nitram
□ Age: chronologically 7 1/2 solar sweeps (roughly 16 years old) but he also spent a haphazard, non-linear amount of time as an ageless ghost so he very well could be much older.
□ Journal: [personal profile] toreadorkabull
□ Series: Homestuck
□ Canon point: after leaving Vriska's pirate ship
□ History: Tavros@mspaWiki
□ Personality: Tavros doesn't make a very intimidating troll at all, be it as an online 'flamewar' type troll or as a living being. He comes from a race of warlike aliens that thrive on violence. From the day they hatch in the brooding caverns their lives are wrought with struggle. Tavros, on the other hand, is the sort of guy who desperately wants to believe in fairies and would rather be roleplaying with his friends than fighting. He's young at heart, and molded his RPG character after his favorite fairy tale, Peter Pupa Pan.

The thing is with Tavros, he's shown to actually have the ability to be confident and to enjoy himself in battle like the others do. Despite his more timid nature, he's far from being a pacifist and had survived the trials in the brooding caverns, not to mention the war in SGRuB. He just rarely gets to do things 'his way' because there is usually someone -namely Vriska- trying to get him to do things a 'better' way. All signs point to him wanting to use brain over brawn, but never gets a chance to because he's constantly being told he's acting pathetic and weak. And yet, charging into a fight like he was 'supposed to' ended very, very poorly for him.

He speaks in a halting manner, and his typing quirk reflects this by his comma abuse. He also has a penchant for double negatives and his sentences sometimes seem disjointed. Unfortunately, things never seem to go his way. He is the Poster Derp of all derpkind. His attempts at trolling tend to end up with him being counter trolled so hard he blocks the person he was attempting to troll in the first place.

His closest friend was Gamzee Makara, and while he didn't understand all his crazy clown antics, Tavros greatly enjoyed the time they spent chatting because Gamzee had always done best to make him feel better about things and actually had faith in him. They were also known to have the absolute worst rap-offs in the history of paradox space.

He used to FLARP(fatal live action roleplay) until Vriska Serket used her mental powers to force him to jump from a cliff and break his back, paralyzing his legs. Out of everyone he's ever known, she's had the most impact on his life, most of which has been negative. While she was trying to make him 'stronger', her methods always ended up having the opposite effect.

Ever since losing his legs his self esteem has been extremely lacking. He would apologize for nearly everything, and would consistently take the berating other people did to heart. He wanted to be stronger, but he just never seemed to believe in himself enough.

A friend had suggested that he give his self esteem a name, and to not let anything hurt it. He took her advice, naming his self esteem 'Rufio' in an attempt to boost his confidence, and would imagine himself talking with Rufio like he would an imaginary friend. Though any actual attempt at a confidence boost was always squashed in some way or another. It didn't help that he was constantly met with negativity from other trolls, either about his handicap, his love of fairies, or any number of things.

It's not until much later, after the events of their game session, does Tavros get a measure of self confidence when he's fitted for a pair of robotic legs. It's all a show, and he tends to overcompensate for his lack of confidence by constantly talking about how much confidence he supposedly has. He's completely aware that it's all fake confidence, but it's all he has and it does seem to help at least somewhat. It just has a tendency to be rather off putting because he tries way too hard.

Tav's biggest weakness is his low self esteem. He thinks that because he was paralyzed, it made him useless. As much as he tries not to, he tends to take things that people say heart, especially if they're negative. He also has a tendency re-assign blame to himself -unless something was very clearly stupid, like someone demanding he apologize for being crippled.

Though things have changed a bit since he's been dead. He actually enjoyed being dead because of the lack of responsibility he had to deal with, he'd even almost forgotten that Vriska had killed him. He'd forgiven her for it, and even dated her for a time while being dragged around the dream bubbles. She still treats him incredibly poorly, but rather than take it like he used to, he got increasingly more pissy and jealous of anyone else he thought she had eyes for.

He tries very hard to get her to like him, but in the end he finally realizes that he doesn't need her approval and breaks up with her, confident in his 'high self esteeming' as he flips her off and flies off her pirate ship. The biggest change in him is that he actually talks back when he doesn't like something, and even is the first to start a fight. He can be get pretty pissy at times, passive aggressive and snotty, mostly because he hasn't figured out how to be assertive without being a dick.

□ Gender: Male
□ Appearance: Tavros is a troll, so he has gray skin, gold sclera and dark irises which will be starting to turn bronze. He has lots of pointy teeth, and LARGE brightly colored bull horns. He wears his hair in a mohawk, and is the sort of guy who wears socks with his sandals.

At the canon point I'm taking him from he's technically a ghost, so I want to default him back into the body he had, just aged up from 13ish to 16ish. Notably his body was robotic from the waist down and lacking in any sort of equipment between the legs. Since all troll technology, including his legs, consist of biological elements as well as mechanical, he can end up with functional, mechanical bits.

□ Abilities/Powers: He has the ability to call/control/communicate/tame animals and anything that is part animal. He's also able to accomplish this through space and time as well.

His weapon of choice when he actually gets into a battle is a lance, which he can use from his wheel/rocket chair, horsaroniback riding, or just charging in like a bull.

All trolls have some manner of architectural skills since they designed their own hives to live in as children.

He's really good at solving puzzles, the more elaborate the better. He is actually fairly tactically minded if given the chance, at least when it comes to leading an army into battle and controlling what they do. Put him in a one on one fight and he's pretty miserable at it.

He gained a power based on his assigned element from his time in SGRUB. We've never actually seen him use it, but he started to. As the Page of Breath, we saw to him attempting to use his power to 'breathe' health back into a dying Vriska. She tells him 'Save your breath, page' because she actually wanted to remain injured. So we don't as of yet know what the extent of his power could be, but from that it is clearly some form of healing in conjunction with breath and wind. Out of all the classes, the Page apparently has unlimited potential, but he'd never had the chance to develop anything due to Vriska's influence.
